news: Welcoming Omer Bor to the ITP Family

Omer is joining us after a varied career in transport policy and economics. Omer’s interest in transport and cities grew as he was studying for a master’s degree in Economic History, where he used an innovative technique to estimate the value of urban amenities in London in the 30s’ (you can read more about it here).

After graduating, he went on to help Network Rail with the implementation of its “Open for business” initiative to improve the cooperation with the private sector.

Equipped with rail knowledge and economics background, he joined the Department for Transport as an Economic Advisor in the rail analysis division, where he worked on various rail schemes in the UK, including the large (and still ongoing) rail reform.

Omer is joining ITP’s International Team, putting his transport and economic experience into practice to support our clients in developing and delivering sustainable transport projects.

Outside of work, Omer enjoys long bike rides around London or further away if schedule allows, and all sorts of cooking. Recently he developed “an unhealthy obsession” (his words) with pizza dough.
