news: Engineering growth for development planning

Earlier this month we welcomed Harfan and Noel to our Development Planning team to support our ever-growing portfolio of sustainable development planning projects.

Harfan Ghafoor, Principal Engineer

From highway design to drainage strategies, Harfan has over 15 years experience in managing multi disciplinary highways and infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients. His skills in preliminary and detailed design of transport infrastructure, highways and public realm, as well as drainage and foul water strategies bring a new dimension to the support we provide to clients.

Outside of the office you’ll find him exploring new places on his motorbike or learning to fly a plane!

Noel Lavery, Consultant

With a keen interest in creating liveable cities, Noel works with developers to ensure sites are accessible and well connected by sustainable transport. His capabilities include producing transport statements and assessments, construction traffic management reports, preliminary highway design, junction modelling and environmental statements, giving him a solid foundation in development planning skills.

He splits his spare time between listen to live music, exploring new cities and running (weather permitting!)

As our team expands as do our in-house capabilities. This means we are able to offer a holistic transport planning service to developers enabling them to navigate seamlessly through the planning process. Harfan and Noel's experience enable us to provide highways and infrastructure design support for new developments, working with clients to assess the feasibility of transport provision through to advising on implementation, covering:

  • Detailed highway design
  • Traffic Regulation Orders
  • Section 38 and Section 278 works
  • Traffic Management documentation
  • Highway and site wide surface drainage
  • Foul water strategies and Section 104 works

If you would like to know more about the support we can provide please get in touch.
