Senior to Principal Level Transport Planner (Influencing Behaviour)

We are now looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced transport planner at Senior to Principal Consultant level to join our Influencing Behaviour Team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, people-orientated individual with specialist engagement, research, report writing and analytical skills. Importantly you should have specialist knowledge of travel behaviour change and travel demand management projects, including in successfully implementing travel plans across a range of sectors. You will be given the opportunity to accelerate your career by working alongside industry experts, within an inclusive and caring company environment.

We expect the right candidate to be experienced in:

  • Aspects of researching, designing, delivering or evaluating travel behaviour change projects
  • Designing and implementing travel plans for a range of organisations
  • Managing sizeable projects to scope and budget
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, helping to secure new work
  • Inspiring and developing less-experienced members of staff by freely sharing knowledge
  • Contributing to other projects across the advisory group as required

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • A sound understanding of behaviour change theory and an appreciation of the factors influencing mode choice
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects for transport authorities or private sector clients in the UK
  • A deep understanding of transport policy and current issues and creative approaches to dealing with them
  • A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing skills
