Job Vacancy

Public Transport Planners - all grades

Closing date: 30th June 2022

If you know your BSOG from your BSIPs, then we are looking for highly motivated people with knowledge of UK public transport planning and operations to join our team in Birmingham, London or Nottingham.

ITP is an award winning transport planning consultancy that employs the very best transport planners and provides an environment in which people can flourish and develop fulfilling careers.  We recently joined forces with Royal HaskoningDHV – expanding both the horizons we can offer our people, and the range of interesting and socially impactful projects on which we work.

We are keen to recruit people with interest and knowledge in local bus operations, Demand Responsive Transport services, and network planning. They will join our team of UK public transport experts, based predominantly in Birmingham, as they work to help local authorities and public transport operators implement the aims and objectives of England's Bus Back Better strategy. We also help administer a number of Concessionary Travel schemes on behalf of local authorities, and provide input to ITP's Transport Strategy and Development Planning teams - helping ensure local bus services are designed-in to new communities.

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, people-orientated individuals with knowledge of, and interest in, UK public transport operations - particularly local bus services in urban and rural areas. We are particularly eager to hear from people with experience of collaborating with local authorities and bus operators to deliver on shared objectives, such as improving the reliability, affordability, and attractiveness of bus services, as well as growing patronage.

Importantly, you should share our belief that transport planners have a responsibility to help create more sustainable places, and our enthusiasm for local public transport services as a means of achieving this.
