Working at ITP

As an independent consultancy ITP is proud to attract some of the brightest minds in transport planning and research. We believe we do better work by learning from each other’s knowledge and skills, as well as those of our clients and partners.

We have purposefully established an environment where everyone is encouraged to question accepted wisdom, and be curious about sustainable mobility.

Professional satisfaction

Variety is the spice of life and we firmly believe in offering people opportunities to work on projects of different sizes and topics, and in a range of locations, so as to broaden our collective skills and horizons.

Recognising the importance to both individuals and long-term company sustainability for progression to come from within, we invest heavily in our team. In-house mentoring and training ensures individuals can discuss professional opportunities and challenges with senior colleagues, while personal training budgets afford access to external professional and technical development.

The success of our approach is reflected by the fact few people choose to leave - giving us a stable and familiar team.

Our Philosophy

We apply the following principles to both our projects, and the way we run ITP:

  • Partnership: open involvement
  • Capacity: invest and trust in people
  • Equality: provide the same opportunities for all
  • Sustainability: leave behind a positive legacy
  • Quality: do the best job possible

An Inclusive Workplace

ITP are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive workplace for all regardless of sexual orientation, religion, gender, age, physical ability or nationality. As part of the Royal Haskoning DHV family of companies, we actively encourage our colleagues to attend our global Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Networks and to come to work as their true selves, to constantly improve the culture of our companies and to Enhance Society Together.

SUNRISE - Graduate Programme

SUNRISE is ITP’s industry-leading career development scheme. It provides structured training and support to those in the first four years of their careers, enabling them to become exceptional transport planners.

Work placements in three of ITP’s transport planning teams, will provide valuable, hands-on experience of different transport disciplines. Coupled with regular training sessions, individuals will gain the technical and business knowledge to accelerate their careers.

Regular meetings with the SUNRISE leadership team provide the opportunity to discuss career aspirations, define development goals and track progress.
