Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca is a senior consultant who joined ITP following the completion of her PhD.  During her time with the company she has been involved with a wide and varied range of projects which has allowed her to develop extensive research and evaluation skills.  These include: literature review and précis; questionnaire design and administration; complex data collection and analysis; focus group design and moderation; and strategic evaluation planning and management.  Rebecca is keen to keep developing her skills, and is currently working towards her Prince 2 project management accreditation.

She has a particular interest in rural transport and accessibility, and since joining ITP has been able cultivate this through a number of reports completed for the Commission for Rural Communities, and more recently research on car sharing for the Rural Access to Opportunities programme.  Rebecca is an accomplished public speaker, and has presented the findings from these pieces of work and others at a number of national and international conferences.

In addition to rural transport, Rebecca has a passion for evaluation.  This began with her PhD research which developed an approach to the evaluation of publicly funded DRT schemes. Latterly she has had a leading role in the evaluation of active travel projects in Tower Hamlets and personal travel planning in Cambridge.  She is a strong advocate of the role a well planned and executed evaluation can play in the development, measurement, ultimately long term future or a scheme and applies this principle to all the of the evaluations she is involved in.
