Lawrence Revill is a planner and urban designer, Managing Director of David Lock Associates and a Director of ITP. Lawrence specialises in the leadership of complex and large scale master planning projects be they greenfield, brownfield or regeneration. He leads DLA’s work for BT on the regeneration and development of its key R&D facility at Adastral Park near Ipswich. He deals with the redevelopment of a number of former psychiatric hospitals around London and in the North East. Lawrence has taken the lead in DLA’s retained consultancy as part of English Partnerships’ Master Planning Panel, undertaking Area Development Frameworks for a new community at Middlesbrough Docks and the revitalisation of Peterborough City Centre. He led DLA’s work on the regeneration of Durham City Centre and on the redevelopment and regeneration of Hull city centre, and the preparation of an Urban Design Strategy for Sunderland City Centre. Lawrence led the company’s work for Yorkshire Forward in Halifax as part of its Urban Renaissance Programme. He has recently completed development strategies for High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and the Felixstowe Peninsula. Lawrence has been an enabler on CABE’s Design Code Pane and has appeared as an expert urban design and planning witness in high profile public inquiries. |
