Demand Management

Demand management encompasses a number of techniques and measures that seek to influence patterns of travel demand. Often these are aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving the environment in towns and cities. We have expertise across the whole spectrum of measures, ranging from "smart" measures such as travel plans and awareness campaigns through to congestion charging, workplace parking levy, access control and low emission zones. ITP team members have worked for both public and private sector clients in this area, and have produced national best practice guidance on car clubs, car sharing, congestion charging and access control.
